Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 2025
We at Edutina Harbrix take your privacy seriously. This isn't one of those policies written by lawyers who've never actually talked to a student. We're educators first, and we want you to understand exactly what happens with your information when you interact with our mobile game architecture programs.
Operating from Macedonia means we follow both European data protection standards and local regulations. We've built our approach around transparency because that's how we'd want to be treated.
Quick Contact: If you have questions about your data, reach us at info@edutinaharbrix.com or call +389 70 215 214. Our office at 2nd Macedonian Brigade 7/1, Skopje 1010 is open during business hours if you prefer to discuss things in person.
What Information We Collect
Let's be direct about this. We collect information that helps us run effective educational programs. Nothing more, nothing less. Here's what we're talking about:
Information You Give Us Directly
- Your name, email address, and phone number when you inquire about programs or enroll
- Educational background and experience level to match you with appropriate courses
- Technical setup details so we can ensure your system runs the development tools
- Payment information when you register for paid programs
- Communication preferences for how you'd like to hear from us
Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit our website, some technical information gets logged automatically. This includes your IP address, browser type, pages you visit, and how long you spend on the site. We use this to understand what content works and what doesn't.
A note about cookies: We use basic cookies to remember your preferences and keep you logged into student portals. We don't use invasive tracking or sell your browsing data to advertisers. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some site features won't work as smoothly.
How We Use Your Information
Everything we collect serves a specific purpose tied to education delivery. We're not in the data business — we're in the teaching business.
Data Type | Purpose | Legal Basis |
---|---|---|
Contact Information | Communication about programs, schedules, and course updates | Legitimate interest and consent |
Educational Background | Course placement and curriculum customization | Contract performance |
Technical Requirements | Ensuring software compatibility and system readiness | Contract performance |
Payment Details | Processing enrollment fees and maintaining records | Contract performance and legal obligation |
Usage Analytics | Improving website experience and content effectiveness | Legitimate interest |
We occasionally send updates about new programs or schedule changes. These aren't marketing blasts — they're informational emails you can opt out of anytime. The unsubscribe link is always at the bottom.
Who We Share Information With
We keep your information mostly to ourselves. But running an education platform means working with a few trusted partners:
- Payment processors who handle transactions securely (we never see your full card details)
- Cloud hosting providers where our learning materials and systems are stored
- Email service providers for course communications and updates
- Analytics tools to understand how people use our website
All these partners are bound by contracts requiring them to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide us. We don't sell or rent your information to third parties. Ever.
About Industry Partnerships: Sometimes guest instructors or industry professionals participate in our programs. We may share relevant student information with them, but only what's necessary for educational purposes and always with appropriate confidentiality agreements in place.
Data Protection Under Macedonian Law
Macedonia's Personal Data Protection Act aligns closely with EU standards. This means you have strong rights regarding your information, and we're legally required to protect it properly.
Our registration with the Macedonian Agency for Personal Data Protection ensures we follow local requirements. We maintain records of processing activities and conduct regular reviews of our data handling practices.
If you're based in Macedonia or the broader Balkan region, your data generally stays within European-standard data centers. International transfers, when necessary, are protected by appropriate safeguards.
Your Rights Over Your Data
You have significant control over your personal information. These aren't just theoretical rights — we actually honor them.
Access Your Data
Request a copy of everything we have about you. We'll provide it in a readable format within 30 days.
Correct Inaccuracies
If something's wrong in your records, tell us and we'll fix it promptly.
Delete Your Information
Ask us to remove your data, and we will — unless we're legally required to keep certain records.
Restrict Processing
Limit how we use your information while maintaining essential records for legal or contractual reasons.
Data Portability
Get your data in a format you can transfer to another service provider.
Object to Processing
Challenge how we're using your information, particularly for marketing or analytics purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@edutinaharbrix.com with your request. We'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by law. There's no fee unless your request is clearly excessive or repetitive.
How We Protect Your Information
Security isn't something we tacked on later — it's built into how we operate. Our approach combines technical measures with sensible organizational practices.
Technical Safeguards
- Encryption for data transmission and storage of sensitive information
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Firewalls and intrusion detection systems protecting our infrastructure
- Secure authentication protocols for student and staff access
- Automated backup systems with encrypted storage
Organizational Measures
Only staff members who need access to your information get it. We maintain detailed access logs and conduct regular training on data protection. Our team signs confidentiality agreements, and we have clear protocols for handling data incidents.
If a security breach ever affects your data, we'll notify you and relevant authorities within the timeframes required by law. We'll also explain what happened, what information was involved, and what steps we're taking.
Data Retention and Deletion
We don't keep your information longer than necessary. But "necessary" varies depending on the type of data and legal requirements.
Active Student Records
While you're enrolled or actively engaging with our programs, we maintain complete records to support your education. This includes course materials, progress tracking, communications, and any submissions or projects.
After Program Completion
- Academic records and certificates: 10 years for verification purposes
- Financial transactions: 7 years as required by Macedonian tax law
- General communications and inquiries: 3 years unless you request earlier deletion
- Marketing consent records: Until you withdraw consent, then promptly deleted
- Website analytics: Aggregated data retained indefinitely; individual identifiers removed after 26 months
When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize your information. Deletion means complete removal from our systems, including backups, within 90 days. Anonymization means stripping away anything that could identify you while keeping aggregated data for statistical purposes.
International Data Transfers
Most of your data stays within European Economic Area data centers. However, some of our tools and partners operate globally, which occasionally means information crosses borders.
When data leaves Macedonia or the EU, we ensure adequate protection through:
- Standard contractual clauses approved by European authorities
- Partner certifications demonstrating compliance with international data protection standards
- Additional security measures for sensitive information
- Regular assessments of transfer arrangements to ensure continued adequacy
If you have concerns about international transfers affecting your data, contact us to discuss the specifics of your situation.
Children and Minors
Our programs are designed for adults and older teenagers pursuing professional skills development. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16 without parental consent.
If someone under 16 wants to enroll, we require documented parental or guardian consent before processing their information. Parents have the right to review, modify, or delete their child's data at any time.
If we discover we've inadvertently collected information from someone under 16 without proper consent, we'll delete it immediately upon notification.
Changes to This Policy
Privacy practices evolve as technology and regulations change. We review this policy regularly and update it when necessary.
When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email if you're an active student or prominently on our website for everyone else. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects when changes took effect.
Continuing to use our services after updates means you accept the revised policy. If you don't agree with changes, you can close your account and request data deletion.
Complaints and Regulatory Contact
We hope to resolve any concerns directly, but you have the right to lodge complaints with supervisory authorities.
